These expectations are not intended to be an addition to biblical obligations. They serve as a summary of Scriptural teaching about what local church membership means, the obedience that faith in Christ and participation in His church produces, and your sincere desire to abide with us.
- Believe sincerely and agree with the Statement of Faith
- Do your sincere best to represent Jesus rightly in everything you do, loving others, neighbors, and especially fellow members of the Church here and elsewhere.
- Joyfully submit to church leadership.
- On the occasion of disagreements on things preached or taught, joyfully contend directly with the Elders.
- Connect through regular attendance and participation in the body.
- Serve regularly, exercising spiritual gifts, talents, and selfless tasks in at least one ministry of Live Oaks Bible Church.
- Give financially in an act of worship as a generous and joy-filled steward.
- Share the Gospel in evangelism and faithful fulfillment of the Great Commission.
- Biblically and joyfully handle all conflict according to the standard of Jesus.
- Diligently pursue your own sanctification and discipleship through prayer, personal devotion, and Bible study.
- Should I leave the church for righteous reasons:
- To notify the Elders in writing, listing the reason(s) why.
- To seek another church with which I can carry our my biblical responsibilities as a believer.
